The festival is held on the 11th and 13th of lunar November every year at the communal house and temple of Vai in Thanh Nong commune, Lac Thuy district.
After the solemn palanquin procession ceremony, comes a festival with such games as earthenware pot breaking, catching ducks, pushing sticks, tug of war, and volleyball tournaments. The festival is held in commemoration of deities who help and support the villagers to have a happy and prosperous life.
