A typical ancient village of the Muong that has been recognized as such by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism.
Ai Hamlet is about 1.5km2 in area and lies in Phong Phu Commune of Tan Lac District. Formerly the Muong Bi centre, nearly 1 km from Highway 6, the hamlet hosts 80 houses on the edge of hillsides, small hills and mounds in the vast Muong Bi Valley. The hamlet, with the Muong’s cultural heritage preserved, makes for an interesting destination for visitors to visit and research traditional culture and ethnography.
